Candidates needing a named Goethe certificate for a confirmed educational, professional, personal or administrative purpose. Recognition must be checked for the exact certificate and use.
Requirements, availability and accepted versions are set by the provider and receiving institution. Confirm the latest information directly before booking.
A learner’s course level and the certificate requested by an institution are related but separate questions. Read the receiving requirement before selecting A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 or C2. If individual modules are relevant, confirm how the recipient accepts them and what evidence must be submitted together. Use official practice materials to understand the selected certificate; a general online placement score does not itself become the required qualification.
A digital examination in a centre should not be confused with a remotely supervised examination from home. Read the official description for the selected location and certificate. Check the keyboard or paper response method, speaking arrangements, identity requirements and confirmation message before travel. Our guidance can organise these questions, while the examination centre confirms its actual appointments and the recipient decides whether the resulting certificate meets its requirement.
Suppose a recipient requests a named German certificate at a particular level. Confirm both the level and certificate, then ask about any conditions for separate modules. Do not select a higher or lower level solely because a nearby session is available. The required evidence may be more specific than general CEFR ability. Keep the exact wording and the centre’s booking confirmation together.

Language proficiency and academic aptitude answer different questions in German admissions. Understand the role of TestDaF and TestAS before comparing them.

If names differ across Latin and Cyrillic documents, resolve the spelling question through official support before booking. Keep passwords and one-time codes private; guidance should help you understand the form while you retain control of sensitive details.
Read the guideThe receiving institution determines which product and format it accepts. The provider determines current locations, appointment availability and delivery requirements. Confirm both before choosing a centre or online option. Check the local time, equipment and any access-arrangement process relevant to your booking. A location listed online does not guarantee a place on your preferred date.
Read the guideStart with the official candidate materials for the exact version you intend to take. Familiarise yourself with the published format and interface, then choose learning support separately if needed. Registration assistance is not tuition, a predicted score or access to live questions. Use legitimate resources and follow the provider’s exam-conduct rules.
Read the guideUse the provider’s official account and reporting guidance to access your result. Check separately how the receiving institution wants to receive it. Downloading a report is not always the same as completing submission. If you are considering a further attempt or a professional certification step, confirm current rules directly. An exam result does not itself guarantee admission or a credential.
